Rules & Guidelines
If you need the Spanish version of this form, please click here.
The following outlines the rules for participation in the Royal Blog Tour. Since our tour consists of upwards of 72 blogs, it is important to maintain a strict adherence to the guidelines and timetables outlined. These rules apply to Honorary Queens as well as Princesses. Please cooperate with our wonderful volunteer committee and make their job easier.
Please be aware that Intellectual Property laws protect the Royal Blog Tour. Please refrain from the use of our structure and procedures in other hops and tours. This can be considered akin to stealing someone's design, tutorial, etc. without permission or due credit. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
- There is a $10 fee payable upon receipt of invoice. Monies collected are used for advertising and cost of grand prize. This is a non-refundable fee. If you are forced to drop out of the tour, you forfeit this fee. This fee is waived for Honorary Queens.
- Princesses are required to join the Princess Roster Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RBTPrincessRoster/) upon receipt of an invitation from the Secretarial Department. All communication regarding the tour will go through this group. Please do not post questions or information regarding the tour on any other group but this one. This is a temporary group and will be depopulated at the end of the current tour.
- Princesses must subscribe to the Princess Blog (http://www.princessroyalblogtour.blogspot.com/). FAQ’s can be found on this blog (Get the Facts), as well as a duplication of the information found in the weekly PA emails. This is a temporary subscription and will be depopulated at the end of the current tour.
- You must respond to your PA’s Friday emails by the Wednesday of the following week. If you have no questions, hit reply and put “Received Email” in the subject line. Failure to respond to these emails can result in elimination from the tour.
- You must meet all deadlines regarding stamp choice, blog candy, project upload etc. Failure to meet deadlines can result in elimination from the tour.
- You must work on your projects on a weekly basis as instructed by your PA. If you follow this timetable, you won’t be scurrying at the last minute.
- You may have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 pictures on your blog. Honorary Queens can have a maximum of 10 pictures. Please note this number refers to pictures, not projects.
- Important: Absolutely no tutorials are allowed on this tour.
- Linking to other pages or websites is not allowed.
- You may not upload new projects during the tour unless you pre-date the posts so that they appear below the Tour post. The RBT header and footer must remain at the top of your blog during the entire tour.
- You may not be on another tour simultaneous to the Royal Blog Tour.
- You may not post designs and projects made by anyone but yourself.
- If you offer Blog Candy, one of your requirements must be that participants must email you their name and email address.
- You will be assigned a CT who will enter your blog in order to put up your header and footer as well as the advertisement. Contact Heather Wright-Porto at blogsbyheather@att.net if you have questions about this.
- If you are on the Wait List, you will be assigned a PA and will be expected to follow the guidelines for those with a permanent castle. We do have dropouts, so the chances of getting on the tour from the Wait List are favorable.
